Local Government Council
The local government board exists in all municipalities with a population of over 5,000 inhabitants and in those with less, when its organic regulation so provides or as agreed by the Plenary of its municipality. In Beneixama it was arranged that this body existed, which meets every fortnight, and is composed of the Mayor and a number of Councilors not exceeding one third of the legal number of the same, freely appointed and separated by him, reporting to the Plenary.
Corresponds to the Local Government Board:
- Assistance to the Mayor in the exercise of his attributions.
The attributions that the Mayor or another municipal organ delegates or - attributes to him the laws.
The Deputy Mayor replaces, in the order of his appointment and in the cases of vacancy, absence or illness, the Mayor, being freely appointed and removed by him from among the members of the Local Government Board and, where this does not exist, from among the Councilors.
The Mayor may delegate the exercise of certain powers in the members of the Local Government Board and, where this does not exist, in the Deputy Mayor, without prejudice to the special delegations that, for specific tasks, may be carried out in favor of any Councilors. , even if they did not belong to that one.
